Potluck ("Potluck," "we," "our," or "us") operates the Potluck mobile application and related services (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we collect, use, and share your information, in accordance with Apple's App Store requirements and applicable privacy laws.
By using Potluck, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
a. Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name or username, and profile photo (if provided). You may sign up using Email and Password, Sign in with Apple, or Google Sign-In. We do not receive your Apple ID or Google account passwords or advertising identifiers.
b. User-Generated Content
Recipes, cookbooks, photos, notes, and other content you upload or create in the app.
c. Usage and Technical Information
Device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and interaction events used to operate and improve the Service.
d. Analytics (PostHog)
We collect event counts and usage data associated with your account, which may include your email address. We do not use session recordings or advertising analytics.
e. Crash and Error Reporting (Sentry)
Crash logs, performance data, and associated username and email address used solely to diagnose and fix issues.
f. Subscription Status
If you subscribe to Potluck Premium, we store your subscription status (e.g., active, expired, or cancelled) to provide access to premium features. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or billing address. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store.
2. How We Use Your Information
To operate and improve the app, manage accounts, enable sharing, provide support, and ensure reliability.
3. Analytics and Third-Party Services
We use PostHog for analytics and Sentry for crash reporting. These providers process data only on our behalf.
4. Tracking and Advertising
Potluck does not track users across apps or websites, does not use advertising identifiers, and does not serve personalized ads.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Information is shared only with service providers, other users you choose, or when legally required.
6. Data Retention
Data is retained indefinitely until you delete your account or request deletion.
7. Your Rights
You may access, update, export, or delete your data at any time.
8. Children's Privacy
Potluck is not intended for children under 13.
9. Security
We apply reasonable safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Policy Updates
We may update this policy and will notify users of material changes.
